Even though we haven't done it every year, taking a fall trip to Vail is one of our absolute favorite fall traditions.
We did it in 2008. Right after we did this:
Obviously, we were back in 2009.
In 2011, we took a wonderful weekend get away with our sweet little plus one.
And again in 2013, this time with double the number of that original visit.
So it was a natural fit to bring the whole gang back this year. And we had a blast!
One of the highlights was taking the kids to Donovan Pavilion, the same place we stood on our wedding day. My little actors did an awesome job recreating the scene.
There is a park right next door, so we let the troops have at it.
Pardon, dear internet, but I'm about to post a bunch of ridiculously cute photos of my children. (Mostly my girls, truth be told. Logan doesn't hold still long enough to capture him on film. He's like a very small, very noisy version of The Flash.) I'm pretty sure that's what you came here for, anyway.

As the kids are getting older, it is so much fun to see them experience things and places that we love. Vail has always held a special place in our hearts, but seeing it through the eyes of our children adds an element of joy and wonder that makes it even more fun.
